I just want to say that my experience with the dolphin interactive program at the Indianapolis Zoo yesterday was absolutely amazing!!! There were only three of us there and I got put by myself with a trainer and a dolphin. At first I was a little upset because I was with the same dolphin I was with last time and if you all recall that did not end well. However, Indy, the zoo's youngest dolphin, was a complete joy to work with this time. Even the trainer remarked that she had never been that good. I got to be in the water with her for 15 minutes this time and she did almost everything we asked of her. I got to pet her tail, rub her belly (all the while seeing that dolphins do indeed have bellybuttons) and even get a kiss from her! I got to do some behaviors with her including making different vocalizations and jumps. It was so amazing that she was doing what I was telling her to and being so much fun to work with. I sincerely wish everyone could get that up close with these magnificent animals because it is an experience you will never forget. I cannot wait to make a career of being with these animals! Ok, enough gushing, as Katie would say. I'm gonna go start packing for school. EEEEEEEKKKK! TTYL and bye bye bye!
